The Joint Commission

The mission of The Joint Commission is to continuously improve health care for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.

Survey results are used to determine whether, and the conditions under which, accreditation should be awarded the organization. Naval Hospital Pensacola (NHP) is periodically surveyed by The Joint Commission (TJC); the last survey took place in May 2019. Surveys are unannounced.
